Our team of seniors helps assemble the envelopes, include the writer’s bio and surprise insert, and prepare everything for shipment.

Subscriptions placed by the 15th of the month will receive that month’s letter.

Each month we feature a different senior writer, so the voice and experiences behind the letter change from month to month. Every writer brings their own personality and life stories, making each letter unique.
Is each letter different?

Yes.

Every letter is handwritten and unique. No two writers are the same, and no two letters are exactly alike.

Many letters also include small surprise insertables such as a bookmark, note, quote card, or small item chosen by the writer. These little extras depend on the writer and are often inspired by their personality or interests.
Can I purchase this for a parent or loved one?

Absolutely!

Many people subscribe for a parent, grandparent, or loved one who could use a little extra encouragement, joy, and connection in their mailbox.
Can I purchase this for myself?

Yes.
Many people choose to gift this to themselves. Simply enter your own name and mailing address at checkout and your handwritten letters will arrive in your mailbox each month.
When will the first letter arrive?

Your first letter will be mailed during the next monthly mailing cycle after your order is placed. If you order on or before the 15th of the month, you will receive that month’s letter. Orders placed after the 15th will begin the following month. Delivery time depends on postal service timing.
Do the seniors get paid?

Yes.
The seniors who write the letters and those who help prepare and assemble the monthly mailings are paid for their work. Handwritten Together was created not only to bring joy to the person receiving the letter, but also to give seniors a meaningful way to share their stories and earn additional income.
Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. You can cancel your subscription at any time before the next billing cycle. Once a monthly mailing has been prepared and sent, that month’s letter cannot be canceled, but future mailings can be stopped anytime.
